Dear Elder Strong,

So. . . how was your Thanksgiving? Ours was one of the best in Woodruff. The Elders got there and they had P-day switched, so I suggested that we go arrowhead hunting. Tom took us out by the dam and we found petroglyphs and several artifacts. It was a beautiful warm afternoon and it was nice, later we went back to the church and played basketball and visited some more. It was actually a nice day.

The weekend was very slow and peaceful, we really didn't do anything. One very sad thing was the passing of my friend Terrie Farnes. She was Malisa's mom and just 4 years older than me. We had her funeral on Saturday, and it took most the day. It was so good that she was able to play for the Winter concert and Stake Conference and we got to spend as much time as possible with her.

We are just finishing the Ward Challenge for the year. We did very well. Morning Family Prayers still evade us, when I cook a hot breakfast we at least get those of us who eat to pray, but you remember the family routine in the a.m., it still hasn't changed too much. Besides, cold cereal is sooooo good.

Thanks for your address. We gave it to the Ward to publish in the bulletin. Your contacts are here and so we will be mailing a package tomorrow or Tuesday. We couldn't pick up your contacts because the office was closed for Thanksgiving. I can pick them up tomorrow. Also Granny made you some toffee.

It has been nice to see so many of the college students here on break. Abby said she was moving to Thatcher this weekend. I hope it will be good for her. It really has been good for Sara and Julianne. They have grown up so much. Two missionaries have returned home to Joe City, and reported today. Church was good, Alicia spoke in our ward. She gave a great talk. We took a family picture today, we'll send a copy, maybe in the next e-mail.

This is a great time of year to share the gospel. You will be able to reach people who are really prepared and who sincerely are seeking to know for themselves. When all the others are so caught up in the craziness of the holidays, just remember to keep working and serving others. You can truly be the Lord's representative and Love as He would.

I love you, miss you, but I know that you are where you are needed. I am so proud of you, and hope you know that we pray for you several times a day.
